INTRODUCING.......

A month ago we adopted a beautiful kitten. We had been thinking about it for awhile but I was always afraid of how Wheezy would react to another animal in her territory (she IS NOT a fan of other dogs. She will SOMETIMES tolerate smaller dogs). She can be a little grumpy sometimes and doesn't like any other animals around her food. But Wheezy DOES get along with my parents cat so we decided that as long as we got a kitten it should be fine.

We got her from the local animal rescue league and named her.... Angel Batista (pronounced On Hail-- she is Cuban :)). Any Dexter fans out there? We are big Dexter fans and named her after one of our favorite characters on the show even though that character is a guy and she is a pretty girl kitty :)

It has been interesting having a cat around. My dad is allergic so we never had any growing up and I have never considered myself a 'cat person'. The boyfriend really wanted her. But she has just wiggled her way into my heart!! Her purring is soooo precious and her stripes are just beautiful and she is playful but also likes to cuddle. She and Wheezy get along ok. Wheezy pretty much just ignores her...unless Angel jumps on her face, then she gets a little snappy.

My only problem with her is the above photo.... She likes to climb. I thought her climbing the screen was pretty funny & cute at first. Until she started climbing my curtains. She LOVES to climb the curtains and I am worried about them getting tears and pulls in them. And I am not sure how to discipline a cat. It doesn't seem to be the same as a dog cause she isn't listening...lol.

Any suggestions??

Wheezy Wednesday!!

It's possible I have posted this photo of Wheez before but it is one of my most favorites!! Who doesn't LOVE a bulldog dressed as a banana!? ...or as I like to call her, Nanerwheez!! ;)

Current Favs

As you can see from my Mini Etsy, I am currently 'favoring' and thinking a lot about vintage dresses, fabric and art prints. The dresses, well, because who doesn't love a pretty dress? The fabric because I want to take down the ghetto broken pantry doors in my small kitchen and replace them with a pretty fabric curtain & the prints because I always love a nice new print to decorate my home with, especially text heavy ones! Hope you enjoy my favorites and maybe find something new you will like!

Wheezy Wednesday...on Thursday!

Sorry for the delay of Wheezy Wednesday! I was thinking about posting all day yesterday but kept getting distracted...so I will share her beautiful face today! Also, take a look at the post that should be 2 below called 'Clothes Horse'. I am not sure why it posted under the first Wheezy Wednesday post but it did....so if you didn't see it, check it out!! :)

My mom had surgery on her foot around Christmas time and had to use a wheel chair to get around the house. Wheezy thought it would be fun to give it a try!

It's Wheezy Wednesday!!

Hi! I have decided that Wednesdays will be Wheezy Wednesdays! Wheezy is my aaadddooorrable bulldog baby (well, 7 year old baby) who is quite photogenic and hilarious. I am going to share a new photo of her every Wednesday cause Lord knows I have a ton :)

Clothes Horse

Where did that expression come from? ....Anywho! I seem to be becoming a 'vintage' clothes horse. I was ALWAYS a 'new' clothes horse but now I seem to have caught the vintage clothes bug. At the moment I am a little more interested in hunting them and selling them but I have found quite a few pieces on Etsy that I want for myself! Along with the clothes seems to come a bag and purse 'bug'. I actually have quite a few vintage bags in my shop right now that are pretty cool. Check them out! :)

Fresh Start

I have a lot of ideas in my head to blog about... I just can't figure out why it is so hard for me to do! Almost every day I sit at my computer at work or at home (most often work...lol) and think about writing on my blog ...and then don't! I am not sure why it seems like such a daunting task to me..... anyway!

I am going to make a list of things I have been wanting to blog about right here and now so I have a check list of sorts that I can refer to...and everyone else can see (that is ....if anyone still checks in here :))!
