Happy Hump Day, Everyone! Just popping in to share another picture of my deliciously hilarious bull baby, Wheezy! :) I took this picture a few nights ago while the BF and I were making dinner. She likes to plant herself right in the middle of the kitchen and wait for some sort of food particles to drop. My kitchen is SUPER SMALL so she is always in the way.... but instead of disciplining her and banishing her from the kitchen, I just like to take pictures of her and laugh....much to the annoyance of the BF sometimes ;)

Makes Me Happy...
I wanted to share my little dining room with you today because...well... it just makes me happy! I finally have it just about the way I want it and it has the perfect mix of things that just make me smile anytime I look that way! I live in a pretty small townhouse and the living room and dining room are open to each other. The couch and the television sit facing the dining room so I actually get to stare at it pretty often :)
One of my favorite things about my little dining room is the wall art. Pretty simple really! 4 of the 5 pieces are pretty fabrics in vintage embroidery hoops. The 'love' circle is an Amish Hex sign. I love the way they all look together!
I purchased my stained glass pendant lamp at an auction the restaurant TGI Fridays had several years ago when they redesigned all of their restaurants. The table and credenza are amazing mid-century modern pieces that deserve their own post (which I will do one of these days)!
And lets not forget the chalkboard walls!

Now, the tough part will be keeping the space clean and clutter free!! ;) |

Inspiring Illustrations
One Kitten for Kim by Adelaide Holl and illustrated by Don Madden is bright, bold and beautiful!! The book is from 1969 and I think the design and colors really gives that away :) The animals are just the cutest!

Gnome Collection
A few posts ago I talked about my gnome music box ....one of my favorite thrift finds. I mentioned that I had amassed quite the collection and today I am sharing some of it with you! It's a pretty good mixture of vintage and newer gnomes. This first pictures shows a Mr. & Mrs. Gnome who are coin banks and also vintage. Standing all sassy in between them is a lovely plush gnome by Multiple Personalities on Etsy. The framed print below is also from her super cool Etsy Shop.
I found the 2 end gnomes in the photo below at a garage sale a few years ago. And the 3 metallic gnomes I got at Borders (I THINK that is the bookstore I found them at...) several years ago as well.
I am still SUPER excited about this guy!! I bought him at Home Goods a few weeks ago. It might be hard to tell in the picture but he is a pretty big fella!
While writing this post I realized that I forgot a few! I will have to save them for another time :) Hope you enjoyed this peek at one of my collections. What do YOU like to collect?

Easy Bedroom Updating
Recently I was just feeling like my bedroom was needing some decor updating. Not having much money to make any big changes I had to get creative! A few weeks ago I was in a local Pittsburgh handmade shop and came across these beautiful handmade papers....at the time I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them but once I got them home I realized they would be great on my bedroom wall!
Once I attached them to the wall (with repositionable tape) I thought it might be neat to kind of turn them into a collage. I didn't want to poke more holes in the wall or the paper so I decided to just add a few of my favorite photos to the sides with pretty bulldog clips. That way the pretty paper still shines through and the photos are just fun extras.
I also added this vintage arrow because I love it and decided this was the perfect way to display it! :)
These pretty papers definitely add personality and color to my bedroom. They weren't a lot of money AND if for some reason I get sick of them in the future they are super easy to remove!

Thrilling Thrift Finds!
On one of my many 'treasure hunts' I came across this awesome gnome music box. I realize I haven't shared my gnome obsession on the blog yet but I.AM.IN LOVE. with all things gnome. Gnomes are still cool, right?! :) I will definitely share my gnome collection here soon!
Isn't he just the cutest?? He plays a lovely little melody as well. When taking these photos I realized he didn't have as much visibility in my house as he deserved.... I will be fixing that just as soon as I find the perfect place for him - away from curious kitty paws!! :)
